Many retail sales organizations are about to embark on the busiest seven days of the entire year. The countdown has begun. There are seven shopping days left until Christmas. It is make it or break time for many people to measure their success or failure for the year. The performance of the salespeople will make all the difference in the world.

We are also coming upon the most religious time of year as well. Of the multitudes of religions that exist on earth, the majority of them celebrate some special occasion within the next few weeks. It is a time to celebrate both the end of a year and the beginning of a new opportunity. It is a time to reflect on and rejoice in your spirituality as well as enjoy special time with family and loved ones.

Why am I combining religion with sales some of you may be asking? The reason is simple, no matter what your religion or beliefs are; I believe every human being believes in "The Golden Rule". That being: Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. I have never heard of a person or a religion that doesn't believe in some version of this rule.

I also know that:
  • The malls and stores will get busier.
  • Tempers will run short.
  • Merchandise may become scarce.
  • People will be in more and more of a hurry.
  • Parking and traffic will become unbearable.
  • Time will run short.
  • The pressure will become greater on salespeople, sales managers, and business owners to produce.
Please don't forget that we are all celebrating some occasion and above all, remember The Golden Rule. It will serve you well in your personal and business life. Give it all you've got! Also don't forget to keep your security at a high level as well. This is also the time of year when the crooks of the world come out.
