Times Are Changing

Imagine if you will the world never changing and remaining the same all the time. Imagine what the world would be like without the evolution of modern science. Imagine if the medical profession remained the same and never changed. Imagine if the communications industry never changed or the transportation industry. The world would be one heck of a lot different place to live and work.
What would it be like to travel across the country on a horse? How much time would it take to hand copy all the books and literature that are in print today? What kind of effort would it take to do your own bookwork if you still had to use carbon paper? Life without TV's, computers, telephones, electric lights, indoor plumbing, and on and on, would be a completely different way of life.
I read an article that stated that young adults entering college last fall, had probably never seen a black and white television, have never not had a VCR or DVD, and don't know what a vinyl album even looks like. In addition they have never lived when there wasn't the fear of aids, or been through an air raid drill at school. They probably have no concept of how people actually lived without the Remote Control, "Post-It Note" or Velcro. They probably can't imagine not being able to instantly send a written communication via text, e-mail or fax, what it was like to actually go to the post office to "Air Mail" a letter. Oh how the world has changed in the last couple of decades. Heck, I even once would have had to use a typewriter to write this note.
Yet, I am amazed at how many people are still selling using sales techniques developed in the 1930's, 40,'s 50's, 60's, 70's and even the 1980's and 1990's. Times are changing. The way we need to sell is changing. To keep selling the old way is safe and gets limited success. However, the really successful salespeople are the bold ones that constantly look for new and better methods and techniques, just like the rest of the world around us. Call us to learn about the latest and greatest selling techniques available today!
